When did Zamzam become a drive in restaurant?

After collecting my scooter on monday, my brother and I stopped by Zamzam restaurant as we were near the vicinity. I think that Zamzam serves awesome murtabak and we decided to get a couple of packs home to break our fast with, with the family.

Murtabak is yum!

When we walked by the sidepath, I almost couldnt believe my eyes. There were so many workers touting us to enter their restaurants. I felt as if I was in Newton Circus food center instead. And there were so many cars lining up to buy the murtabaks. There was so much traffic honking, and the staff were shouting about that it was almost chaotic.

I’ve never seen so much traffic in that area before, not even during the weekends! Since when did the area become a drive in? :O

Watch in youtube

Sidenote : I found out that I won a pair of tickets to for a cultural workshop on Spain this Saturday. Coolness! Anyone would like to join me? I’m taking mum :)

I went to the cultural workshop on Brazil a few months ago at Tanjong Pagar CC a few months ago - quite interesting stuff - no bad they didn’t have Brazilian food on hand :(

By the way, Zam Zam is somewhere near Jalan Sultan, right? The food looks great!

A cultural workshop on brazil? Thats cool :)

I was at Womad last month and I was definitely facinated by the brazillian band :D The band even prepared food on one of the days.

Anyways, the PA organizes interesting workshops. One of the workshop that I attended was the vocal workshop last year at Tanjong Pagar CC too. This will be my first time attending a cultural workshop, I’m sure it will be as fun as your Brazil one :D

Yes, Zamzam is right opposite the Sultan Mosque. The nearest train station is bugis and yes, the murtabak is delightfully crispy and meaty and yum :)

Yes I do agree that ZamZam has the best murtabak around…*sighs* I can even smell them rite now!! The last time I was in Singapore (5yrs ago) they were already selling the murtabak drive thru…no need to get out of the aircond car, just place your order and 5 mins later hot, delicious murtabak! yummy yummy yummy :-)

We are definitely growing lazier and lazier :p Hehehehe!

The scene I saw was that vehicles were actually lining up and murtabak will come in less than a minute as there were already packed ones, ready to go :|

I think its because of the ramadan. I’ve never seen this happening before.
