A little late on the bandwagon, but I’ve been meaning to do the “What people think I do” meme for a while.
Living overseas has been an enriching experience, but I’m sorry, it’s not all that bed of roses like what most people think!

Hahahaha! That’s quite accurate for the first few months!
And in some cases, even long term … hahahaha! Too many people keep saying the generic, “Oh you’re living overseas? You’re so lucky! I’m jealous!”
True! Every place has it’s own set of challenges and learnings. And when we see it from far (read.. “on TV”) we only see the plush/posh/sanitized version of life. But in fact life is more or less the same in most places on the planet. We need to stop watching TV.. š
Oh no, I cannot give up TV … haha, it’s how I zone out at the end of the day for relaxation! But true, what we see on mass media about living overseas is usually the polished part. I’ve yet to come across the challenges. I’m sure you had your fair share of challenges when you were living in Sweden. Nevertheless, you had a blast anyway š
