Recently I made some epok-epok on a whim for a friend’s birthday party.
I’ve always had nice memories when making them. While still living in Singapore, I’d sit chit chatting with my mum as we crimp the edges and quietly, I’d admire the handiwork that she does. Call it odd, but it’s very relaxing.
So today I just wanted to share with you a quick video of how to crimp an Epok-epok

By the way, Italians have something similar, called the calzone.
OH SO THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT!! I always see the makcik making it but she’s SO freaking fast that I have no idea how it is done. I just use… a fork like how for sardine ones are.
You could use a fork, or those plastic kiap kiap things, but somehow it doesnt feel as satisfying as doing it yourself. Try it Sarah! I think you’ll really enjoy doing it!!!!
OMG! I love epok-epok! I can never seem to find a good recipe, there’s too many out there but yours looks soooooo good! Would you share the recipe pretty please? π I’ll be eternally grateful! π
Haha, I actually used the recipe at the back of the pack of baba’s curry powder actually and have that for dinner, and the leftovers I heat it up, make it dryer and serve it up for epok2. BUT the recipe from this site is wonderful though, try try! You’ll love it π
