I remember when I was back in secondary school, every fasting month we’d give each other hari raya cards. In each card, there will be a message of friendship as well invitations to visit each other’s houses for Eid.
My mum would always look at me all puzzled. “I don’t understand why you’re sending each other cards. Its for people you don’t meet often. You see each other everyday!” Regardless, I’ve kept each and every one of my cards in a metal box. Its in Singapore at the moment. I just hope that no one throws them away!
Anyway, lately I’ve gotten quite a number of cards. Probably after complaining to my mum that I didn’t get any during Eid last year. In any case, it makes me feel so happy to see the colourful stamps and cards and I’m not complaining now!
Unfortunately, I’ve procrastinated too much and I doubt that any cards I sent will arrive in time for raya … ANYWAY! I’d like to say thanks and do a little show and tell today π

I was amused to see a KFC postcard till mum explained to me that she was testing the Italian postal system to see how long it took to have it sent from Singapo.

After her little experiment, mum sent me two! I dont know why, but the more the merrier! One of the cards is very special because when you open it, raya music will come out.

Hi, I was googling on road trips to malacca and chanced upon your blog post http://rinaz.net/2007/06/the-vespa-club-roadtrip-to-malacca/
Then I chanced upon another blog with such similarities to your post…

Call me a busybody but I dislike plagiarism… thought I’d highlight this to you.
Unless both of you are the same person… then my apologies.
Woah! How scandalous!
Thanks for letting me know, Sarah
I like postcard from Hendri the most. The camels!
And of course, the one with the dancers… π
