Grattachecca is a type of ice dessert that is made of shaved ice, similar to ice kacang. Its not to be confused as granita though, as grattachecca is coarser.

yay! yummy tamarind grattachecca! But i’m still wondering where to buy that ice shaver… it looks so easy when they do it in the stalls :)
I’ve never seen it for sale before. But it seems challenging I think, with the block of ice and all. Maybe its easier to just stick to the food processor for now :-D
