It was working fine and then without warning it just died on me.
And just when I was about to do a blog post about Karmic Koala which I’m geeking out about. 
Anyway, coincidentally I saw a contest for a new netbook and thought that I’d give it a try

Did your netbook just go dark, cough slightly, ask why it felt so cold, then ask for its mother, and then go limp and quiet?

Unfortunately it didn’t go that way. Instead, it was so sudden! It was running my programs just fine and then the next reboot, it just went poof!
No supermodels, no cookies, no asking of mothers, nothing.

Hopefully now that the thing is alive again, you’ll still be able to win a new one from that contest. Never hurts to have a spare on hand, for when things like this happen.
I think I’m going to buy a netbook next month myself. My fan is still messed up in my MacBook and they want about 400 bucks to fix it. I can buy a new laptop for a bit more than that. Anyhow, I’ll keep the Macbook and just find a used fan to stick in it, so later it’ll be like having two. I just want a new one that’ll be reliable.
